Trust centre
We understand that trust is fundamental in the care economy, especially in home aged care. As a technology company serving this sector, we embed this principle in our software and services. This Trust Centre outlines our commitments to security, privacy, and the ethical use of data.
Privacy
We recognise that personal health information is among the most sensitive data types. Our practices are designed to protect this information at every stage. For complete details on data collection, use, and your rights, please review our comprehensive Privacy Policy.
Data management
In support of strong data management and governance, all primary Zuji data is stored in Australia on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
While we prioritise local processing, essential AI services (such as transcription and voice generation) are performed by sub-processors based in the United States. These services are handled under strict “pass-through” agreements, meaning this data is neither retained by the processor, nor used for AI model training.

Furthermore, we only process the data necessary for the AI to deliver its core functionality, such as using only minimal identifying information (e.g. first names and birth decades) to support conversations with aged care clients.
Sub-processors
We believe in transparency. We engage select partners to perform critical functions and list them here. This table outlines who they are, where they operate, and their data handling policies.
| Service | Jurisdiction | Data Retention | AI Model Training |
| Cloud Infrastructure | Australia | Enduring | not applicable |
| Call orchestration | Australia | 30 days | not applicable |
| AI compute | United States | Zero | No |
| Productivity suite | Australia | Enduring | No |

Security
Our platform is built on an enterprise-grade security stack, leveraging the robust infrastructure of world-leading cloud providers. We employ best practices in application security, data encryption (both in transit and at rest), and access control to safeguard your information.
AI ethics
Responsible AI is a non-negotiable component of our service. Where relevant, we are committed to upholding the ethical principles captured in Australia’s Artificial Intelligence Ethics Principles, embedding practical safeguards into our products and services. Specifically:
- Human, societal and environmental well-being: AI systems should benefit individuals, society and the environment.
- Human-centred values: AI systems should respect human rights, diversity, and the autonomy of individuals.
- Fairness: AI systems should be inclusive and accessible, and should not involve or result in unfair discrimination against individuals, communities or groups.
- Privacy protection and security: AI systems should respect and uphold privacy rights and data protection, and ensure the security of data.
- Reliability and safety: AI systems should reliably operate in accordance with their intended purpose.
- Transparency and explainability: There should be transparency and responsible disclosure so people can understand when they are being significantly impacted by AI, and can find out when an AI system is engaging with them.
- Contestability: When an AI system significantly impacts a person, community, group or environment, there should be a timely process to allow people to challenge the use or outcomes of the AI system.
- Accountability: People responsible for the different phases of the AI system lifecycle should be identifiable and accountable for the outcomes of the AI systems, and human oversight of AI systems should be enabled.
